Kendriya Vidyalaya is a reputed education organization of primary and secondary education in India, which is mainly made for the children of employees of the Central Government of India. Kendriya Vidyalaya is commonly referred as KV. It started in 1963 and has since been contracted with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India.

The number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in India at present is 1,225.  Apart from this, there are three Kendriya Vidyalayas abroad in which the children of Indian Embassy staff and other NRIs study.  The schools follow the curriculum of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) of India.


Kendriya Vidyalaya Mission -


 The major four missions of Kendriya Vidyalayas are as follows -

1. Provide education under the general program of education to the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defense-Army like BSF, CRPF, etc and also paramilitary personnel.  To meet their educational needs.

2. To set excellence and pace in the field of school education.

3. New experiments in the field of education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSC), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and  Incorporating innovation.

4. To develop the spirit of national unity and 'Indianness' among children.

Popularity -


 Kendriya Vidyalayas are appreciated for their all-round development of students.  The level of education is also considered good.  In these schools, children of different economic conditions and people from different parts of the country study together so that there is a balanced development of the personality of the students.

  Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan also known as KV.  For the admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya, application forms had been issued every year till now but this year applications have not been released yet.

 Application forms for KVS Admission 2020 were to be released in March 2020.  But so far no information has been issued regarding admission.  Notification for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2020 will be released soon.

Syllabus / Curriculum -


 The Kendriya Vidyalaya conducts a common program of education.  It provides admission to cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees, including mainly Defense Department soldiers and para-military personnel.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission -


 The Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2020 process was to begin in March 2020.  To take admission in KV, students must first fill the application form.  Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2020-21, will be released on KV's official website https://kvsangathan.nic.in/.

 Applications can be filled in both online and offline mode.  Students who meet the prescribed criteria will be eligible to apply.  Students can read this article in full to get complete information of KV Admission 2020.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2020 Class 11 Qualification -

Human Stream - All students who have passed class X examination.
Science Stream - Students should get at least 60% marks in all subjects.
Commerce Stream - Students should get minimum 55% marks in all subjects.

 For Scheduled candidates - 7.5 percent seats
For SC candidates - 15% seats
For Differently Abled - 3% Seats
For the most economically weaker section - 25% seats



The applications will be filled up according to the dates fixed.  Applications of any student will not be accepted after the last date fixed.  Students are advised to submit admission form 2020 before the last date or till the last date.

 All the students who fill the application form must check their eligibility once.  Only students who meet the eligibility criteria are considered eligible to apply.

 All the information filled in the application form should be correct and correct.  By filling up any wrong information, the applications of the students can be canceled.
